Hello October Make Room for What Matters

October can arrive with a quiet pressure as you look at the calendar, remember the things you hoped to do and wonder how the year moved so quickly. Before you start adding more to your list, take a moment to look at the life you are living now. Some plans may still matter deeply; others may need to change because your circumstances, responsibilities or priorities have changed.
Ask yourself what would make this month feel worthwhile. Perhaps it is making progress on a project, spending more time with God or finally dealing with something you keep putting off. Be specific enough to know what your first step looks like. Then look at your diary. Where can that step fit? What might need to move? A plan becomes more useful when it has a place in your actual week.
As you pray about October, bring God the parts you feel confident about and the parts you are still trying to understand. You can move forward while some questions remain unanswered.
You have permission to begin this month from where you are. Take one faithful step and allow yourself to notice the good along the way.
